"I was given your book, Get Over It! by a friend. I
have just finished reading it and must say it is very
insightful. It is written in a very human and honest form
that seems to be lacking from much of the grief literature that I have read.
This is not to say that it lacked in content, rather, the substance was
dressed in a user friendly style that makes it accesible to those who really
need it. This was evident in the 'strategy' sections and resources in
particular. I also liked the fact that you had a chapter on kids & grief as
this seems to be seperated from adult grief. Overall, this book is a
valuable resource for me and something that I will lend to the palliative
patient's & families I work with."

"Get Over It! is a must read for everyone whether you are grieving or not. We all will walk this journey of grieving and this book teaches you that you can work through it. I read this book in less than twenty four hours – I simply couldn’t put it down. I have also re-read many of the chapters and each time I do, I find a little bit more strength in my own personal grief journey. I have since purchased this book for many family members and friends.
After giving it to someone I had a voice message on my phone saying, "Turn to page 123... I get it!" There is a snippet that says, "Remember that you wouldn’t have had pain if you hadn’t had love." This simple message gave them peace for the first time. Audrey Stringer shares her journey and through her words you can find a peace that can give you calmness in your heart again." Carol

"I thought it was a great read. Very easy to read and lots of great information. Certainly a book that should be in every home. Great layout and I really liked the way you presented information as "briefs" on random pages. It's the type of book where you don't have to start at the front and work your way to the back, you can open it to any page and start reading. Certainly, it's a book that can help anyone who is grieving, or the friend of the mourner understand all the emotions that are part of that process."

"You have written a great book.I found it helped confirmed many of the things that I had experienced after the loss of my wife. Many feel they are alone or that they are going crazy. This book helps people to recognize that what they are experiencing is normal! Great work Audrey."

"Get Over It! is definitely a keeper. The author takes us gently through her own personal journey of coming to terms with her own personal tragic losses. Through her journal writing, practical information, and personal advice, Audrey, by her own example, shows her readers that there is a way to come to survive after experiencing overwhelming loss."

"Get Over It! is a personal, practical and inspirational story told by the author after the death of 3 significant others in her life within seven years - her son, a grandson, and her husband. This is an important and powerful book, a true-to-life account of someone who was able to rebuild her life after being shaken by loss."
